Vibrant of Bangladesh in the mission of becoming Foxconn
This time the Bengal Tigers have started roaring in the IT sector. Vibrant has begun to "revitalize" global tech brands by producing the best quality digital devices. Through manufacturing the phones of Nokia, Maximus and other well-known brands Vibrant is going to become the Foxconn of Bangladesh. The fault rate of vibrant mobile phones manufactred at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park in Kaliakair, Bangladesh is less than 3%. And already got ISO certification.
Demonstrating its ability to manufacture the famous James Bond fan flagship smartphone Nokia G10 on the ground of Bangladesh, Vibrant was at the center of this year's London Investment Road Show.
Meanwhile, the factory-made phone of Vibrant, the first investor in Bangladesh's Hi-Tech Park, is taking place at the London Museum.
Mohammad Marbin, Managing Director of Vibrant Soft UK, told Digibangla in an exclusive interview that the official packaging of the phone will be unveiled from Bangladesh on the golden jubilee of Independence. During the meeting, he thanked the Prime Minister's ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar and State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak as the driving force behind his dream.
He said that Vibrant is working to establish 'Made in Bangladesh' brand not only with the badge of famous brand but also by ensuring the world class quality. Expecting to fulfill the dreams of those who are trying hard to establish a local brand, Vabrant has been working relentlessly.
The factory is now ready to make mobile as well as any digital device. Maybe soon the factory will start making IoT devices for any European country.
Vibrant is working through single brand as well as co-branding. Every effort is being made to become the Foxconn of Bangladesh by realizing the dream of global export of digital products manufactured here across the borders of the country.
Vibrant Software Limited UK signed an agreement with the Hi-Tech Park Authority to set up a factory in Bangladesh at the second e-commerce fair held in London in 2015 organized by e-Cab. The company was later listed as a joint venture company in Bangladesh. Vibrant Managing Director Mohammad Marbin returned to Dhaka from the UK with the investment. He said that the country's engineers have set up vibrant factories. Now they are also managing. Preparations are also underway to make various IoT devices, starting from electric cars, soon after proving the expertise in mobile phone manufacturing. In the meantime, four more brands have taken the discussion of making digital devices in Vibrant factory.
Mohammad Marbin, a son of Rajbari- a district town named after Raja Surja Kumar by the rivers of Padma-Chandana. His schooling started at Dhaka Government Laboratory High School then Dhaka College. After graduating from Dhaka University with a degree in Computer Science and Technology, he moved to the University of Bedfordshire in England for higher education. After graduating from there, Marbin, Managing Director and CEO of Vibrant Bangladesh, has worked as a tech expert in over a dozen global organizations in Europe and America. But he was always fascinated of his motherland.
In the meantime, he signed an agreement with the Hi-Tech Park Authority at the e-commerce fair in London to build a hub for manufacturing of Made in Bangladesh products like Foxconn in the motherland. He signed an agreement with Union Group, a local company, to set up a factory in Gazipur. Inspired by his wife Ankhi Khan from a university classmate, the work of setting up a factory started in 2017 with double enthusiasm. Now, world-renowned brands like Nokia have started choosing that factory to produce their own digital products.
